“Within 50 years a legally binding "right to life" (a right not to be terminated or shut down with violation punishable as a capital offense) will be granted to software by some nation on Earth, effectively giving constitutional "human rights" to a software system.”

The ultimate Turing Test is moral. If a software system passes a test by "reasonable judges" of self-aware intelligence, we will eventually be compelled by our own legal precedents to treat it as "human". Though debates over the reality of artificial intelligence will continue, constitutional legal status will come first in some nation-state level jurisdiction, somewhere in human culture.
