The Burj Dubai, the first building over 600 meters has not even been finished yet or there are plans to build another one over a kilometer or even a mile high.
It is only a matter of time before some type of structure will reach beyond the highest mountains, perhaps even into space.
And if a country like Namibia is seriously planning to build a solar updraft tower over a kilometer high, than it should be no problem for wealthier nations to go beyond 10 in just a few decades.
