“"Brooke Shields will be be a recipeint of the Kennedy Center Honors for her lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts, within the next fifteen years."”

Tyrone Boyd

Boyd's Argument

Andy Warhol cited Brooke Shields as the inspiration for his first major art exhibit. Her 1978 film, "Endless Love", led to a No. 1 song of the same name, performed by Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie. "I'm With Her", a new T.V. sitcom based on her life, will debut in the fall. Brooke Shields' decades long career spans dozens of feature films, a T.V. sitcom, 28 Bob Hope Specials, two Broadway musicals, tours with the USO and numerous T.V. guest appearances. Brooke Shields has inspired Britney Spears and other young performers to pursue a career in the always tough world of show business.
